Ralph Macchio, Pat Morita, Elisabeth Shue | Daniel and his mother moved from New Jersey to California. He has an amazing new job, but Daniel soon learns that a brown-haired Italian man with a Jersey accent just doesn’t fit the crowd of blonde surfers. Daniel manages to talk about several fights, but he ends up being picked up by several people from the same karate school. When Daniel saw the out of the pack beats, he saw Miyagi. The old gardener jumped into the fight and saved him by fighting half a dozen teenagers. Miyagi and Daniel immediately discover the real motivator behind the boys’ violent behavior in the form of their karate teachers. Miyagi promises to teach Daniel karate and organize a fight in an all-valley tournament in a few months. When he started practicing, Daniel didn’t understand what he was showing. Miyagi seems more interested in owning Daniel’s fence paint and car wash than in teaching him Karate.
